The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) has stated that a student from Singapore Sports School, who tragically passed away during a fitness trial, was transported to the National University Hospital (NUH) following medical protocol.

This decision was made because NUH, with its specialized pediatric emergency facilities, was the most efficient choice, despite questions about the proximity of Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
