SINGAPORE: On Tuesday (14 Nov) morning, an industrial building in Tuas experienced a fire, leading to the evacuation of seven individuals. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) promptly responded to the incident, receiving an alert about the fire at 46 Tech Park Crescent around 7:15 am, as communicated on its official Facebook page.
In a swift and robust effort, the SCDF deployed 15 emergency vehicles and approximately 80 personnel to address the situation at the specified building.
Upon their arrival, the SCDF encountered a formidable fire within an area measuring about 20m by 20m on the first floor of a two-storey industrial building.
The fire primarily impacted the contents of an office and a storage space housing tools and materials used in metal works.

Before the SCDF’s arrival, six individuals successfully evacuated, and another person on the second floor was safely evacuated by the SCDF.
Remarkably, no injuries were reported in connection to the incident.
The SCDF said they employed four water jets during the firefighting operation, strategically encircling the fire to prevent its spread to adjacent premises.
The fire was successfully extinguished by 8:40 am.
Throughout the operation, the SCDF leveraged the SGSecure mobile app, reaching out to mobile subscribers from M1, StarHub, and SingTel in the vicinity, urging them to stay away from the affected area.
An update at 9:20 am confirmed the fire’s extinguishment, with firefighters actively damping down the site to prevent any potential rekindling by wetting hot burnt surfaces immediately after extinguishing the fire.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
