Prabowo Subianto votes in Hambalang, expresses hope for one-round election. Gibran Rakabuming Raka and wife cast votes in Surakarta, emphasizing simplicity and prayers for smooth electoral process.
INDONESIA: Presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, exercised his voting rights at TPS 033 Bojong Koneng, Hambalang, West Java.
Wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt, Prabowo arrived at the polling station at 09:00 am, departing from his residence in Hambalang.
After receiving and casting the ballot papers, he posed for the media and expressed his coalition’s ambition for a one-round election, responding with a hopeful “God willing.”
After completing the voting process, Prabowo thanked the election officers, expressing gratitude for the smooth proceedings and stating, “Rain brings blessings, brings good fortune so we should be grateful. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.”
Meanwhile, Vice Presidential Candidate number 2, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and his wife, Selvi Ananda, exercised their voting rights at TPS 034 Manahan, Surakarta City, Central Java.
Arriving at around 11:07 am, Gibran and Selvi were casually dressed.
When asked about his post-voting plans, Gibran mentioned he wouldn’t be going anywhere specific and remained uncertain about joining the election quick count monitoring at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, with Prabowo Subianto.
Gibran, the mayor of Surakarta, emphasized that he had no special preparations before voting and, regarding the presidential election’s rounds, simply sought blessings for a smooth electoral process, stating, “Pray that it goes smoothly.”
