Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD cast votes in 2024 elections
Ganjar Pranowo casts his vote, emphasizing preparedness for any election outcome. Mahfud MD, vice presidential candidate, applauds the fairness of the voting process, expressing optimism for nationwide smooth elections.
INDONESIA: Presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo, exercised his voting rights at TPS 11 Gajahmungkur, Semarang, Central Java, during the 2024 elections.
Expressing readiness for any outcome, Ganjar emphasized the importance of being prepared, whether they win or face challenges, without specifying opponents.
“Let’s wait and see. If the result is in our favor, everyone has to be ready,” Ganjar stated after voting on Wednesday (14 Feb).
Regardless of the election outcome, Ganjar maintained a pragmatic perspective, stating, “For me, whether we win or they lose, it’s the same for us.”
Meanwhile, Vice Presidential Candidate number 3, Mahfud MD, exercised his voting right at TPS 106 Sambilegi Lor, Maguwoharjo, Depok, Sleman.
After voting, Mahfud praised the fairness of the voting process at his polling station, which included elections for the Indonesian Representative Council (DPR), provincial Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), district/city Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), and the Regional Representative Council (DPD).
Addressing the media, Mahfud shared, “I felt and witnessed for myself that the event was very fair. We registered, received clean ballot papers, voted in secret, and then placed them in the ballot box.”
Expressing optimism for the overall electoral process, Mahfud hoped that voting across Indonesia would proceed in an orderly and fair manner, reducing the likelihood of disputes.
