INDONESIA: Indonesian singer Cakra Khan has delivered an unexpected update regarding his participation in America’s Got Talent 2023.
In a Twitter post from his account @CakraKonta, Cakra Khan revealed that he will not be continuing with the auditions for America’s Got Talent 2023 due to a circulating Instagram video.
In his heartfelt message, Cakra Khan extended his apologies to his Indonesian community and fans, especially those who were eagerly anticipating his next performance in the upcoming rounds of America’s Got Talent 2023.
He shared on Wednesday (16 Aug), ” “Looking at AGT’s Instagram, it seems I didn’t make it, guys. Please forgive me! Maybe I need to practice more. Keep moving forward!”
The comments section was flooded with supportive messages from netizens.
User @Bagas**** wrote, “Victory doesn’t always mean being the champion. Victory is about winning people’s hearts. Even with just one performance, you’ve won many hearts out there. Your AGT appearance had many viewers hooked, even reaching third place.”
Another user, @hlasar***, commented, “It’s okay, Kak Cakra. You’ve done great till here. Stay strong!”
User @filank**** expressed, “Oh no… What a shame! I really wanted to see @CakraKonta‘s performance again. Stay strong, Cakra.”
The organizing television network, NBC, has disclosed the names of the successful participants. NBC reported that the AGT judges – Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara – have officially selected 55 participants to proceed to the next stage.
Official America’s Got Talent Instagram account for auditions, @agtauditions, posted a video on Wednesday (16 Aug), showcasing the participants who had successfully passed the America’s Got Talent 2023 auditions.
Regrettably, among the showcased contestants, Cakra Khan was notably absent. His prior attention-grabbing performance of Bob Marley’s “No Woman No Cry” had sparked discussions about his potential on the AGT stage.
Interestingly, Putri Ariani, who auditioned prior to Cakra Khan, was prominently featured in the midsection of the short video.
This led Cakra Khan to assume that his chances of advancing to the next round of America’s Got Talent 2023 had dwindled. In his comment on the AGT post, Cakra Khan offered tremendous support to Putri Ariani.
Cakra Khan has now embraced the role of a supporter for Putri Ariani, expressing his encouragement through the comments section of America’s Got Talent’s Instagram. “Keep it up, Putri @arianinismaputri, Indonesia!” Cakra Khan wrote.
Cakra Khan’s comments on AGT’s Instagram post prompted responses from both netizens and Putri Ariani herself. “@cakra.khan, thank you so much, Kakak. Stay strong, too, Kak @cakra.khan. Please pray for Putri, Kak,” Putri Ariani wrote. User @rwinn*** added, “Putri Ariani, stay strong. Bang Cakra is amazing too. We are so proud of you.”
As of now, there is no further information about the reasons behind Cakra Khan’s decision not to proceed in America’s Got Talent 2023. Fans and followers are left eagerly awaiting more details about this surprising development.
