Spanish arbitrator who issued controversial US$14.9B award against Malaysia to face charges on 11 Dec
Spanish arbitrator Gonzalo Stampa, who ordered Malaysia to pay US$14.92 billion to alleged heirs of the last Sulu Sultan, is set to faces charges in Madrid on December 11.
Malaysian Minister Azalina deemed Stampa’s award fraudulent, citing the annulment of his judicial appointment by the High Court of Justice of Madrid in June 2021.
