SINGAPORE: A fire broke out at a warehouse on Seletar West Farmway early Tuesday morning (23 July), with no injuries reported.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the blaze at approximately 2:35 am at the warehouse located at 21 Seletar West Farmway 1.
The affected structure was a single-storey warehouse measuring about 30 meters by 20 meters, which housed an office and scaffolding materials.
SCDF personnel managed to extinguish the fire within about two hours, using three water jets and an unmanned firefighting machine.
A total of 10 emergency vehicles and around 50 firefighters were deployed to handle the incident.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
As of the latest update from the SCDF, the firefighters were carrying out a damping-down operation.
This process involves applying water to wet, burnt surfaces to ensure that deep-seated embers are fully extinguished, preventing any potential rekindling of the fire.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
