SINGAPORE: About 300,000 Singaporeans from the Pioneer Generation will receive MediSave top-ups of up to $1,100 (US$817) in July, announced the Ministry of Finance (MOF).

The Pioneer Generation comprises Singaporeans born in 1949 or earlier.

In a statement on Friday (7 June), the MOF said these top-ups would total more than $150 million (US$111 million).

MediSave can be used to pay premiums for MediShield Life, CareShield Life, ElderShield, and other MediSave-approved insurance plans, as well as medical expenses such as hospitalisation, day surgery, and selected outpatient treatments.

These top-ups are in addition to the annual MediSave top-ups for Singaporeans aged 65 and above, provided under the GST Voucher scheme.

Eligible seniors who have downloaded and set up their Singpass will receive notifications through the app regarding their top-up amounts by 11 June.

Those without the app but who have registered their mobile numbers with Singpass before 9 June will receive an SMS by 11 June with their eligible amount.

Others will receive letters by the end of June.

To prevent scams, the SMS will inform seniors only of their benefits and will not request any reply or information.

The MOF emphasized that no messages about the Pioneer Generation and Merdeka Generation packages will be sent via WhatsApp or similar messaging platforms.

The Pioneer Generation Package, introduced in 2014, aims to honour and thank these Singaporeans for their contributions during the country’s early years.

Annually, members of the Pioneer Generation receive MediSave top-ups ranging from $250 to $900 based on their birth year, with higher amounts given to those born earlier as they typically have accumulated fewer savings.

Additionally, older Pioneers aged 85 and above in 2024 with serious pre-existing conditions receive further top-ups of $50 to $200 per year from 2021 to 2025 to help with MediShield Life premiums.

Other special subsidies are available for outpatient care and MediShield Life premiums.

Pioneers who join CareShield Life from 1 January to 31 December 2024, will receive participation incentives of $3,000, spread over 10 years to offset the annual premium payable each year.

This is in addition to any premium subsidies that Pioneers may receive.

For more details on the Pioneer Generation Package, visit the designated website or contact the support hotlines at 1800-222-2888 or 1800-650-6060, or email [email protected].

Another PAP scam in progress.
Virtual money is not money ok. Plus their motives never change as right hand gives left hand takes.

The “can see-cannot touch” Sgov’s gift…

What’s THE PAP Administration CLASSIC TRICK BAIT for Votes All About?

1. Raise insurance premiums – BY LAWS and STATUES (do they reveal actuarial studies analysis to convince).
2. Reduce payouts, RESTRICT claims events (what have the shown, reveal on claims history).
3. Paper SHUFFLING, COOKING books – return expenses of CPF members FOOTED, by handouts to impress they care. Really.

This regime and their vouchers, top ups and chicken wings, … still works wonders with the idiots, imbeciles and ignoramuses !!!

The nation, … should and must be eternally grateful to this caring and conscientious regime !!!

All from the age of 65 years should have free medical care. In Canada, medical services are free for all their citizens.
