SINGAPORE: A tragic incident occurred on Sunday ( 5 Nov) at Block 35 Eunos Crescent, where a woman and her young daughter fell from a considerable height, landing on the ground floor of the Housing Board flat.
Residents in the vicinity noticed two blue tents set up behind the block, shrouding the bodies.
A number of police officers were conducting investigations both around the tents and within the housing estate.
According to Singapore’s Chinese media outlet Lianhe Zaobao, an unnamed neighbour residing in the same block reported hearing a loud noise at 12:45 p.m. and subsequently discovering the two fallen individuals.
“They appeared to be of Chinese ethnicity. The woman’s face was not visible as it was facing downwards, while the other was believed to be an infant or a young child, still wearing a diaper.”
The police reported that they were informed of the fall at Block 35 Eunos Crescent around 12:40 p.m.
The woman and the baby were found lying motionless and were pronounced dead at the scene. The authorities believed that the deceased individuals were a mother and her daughter.
