Man, 38, charged after shooting another with airsoft gun at Tampines void deck
A 38-year-old man was charged on 1 July 2026 after allegedly shooting three plastic pellets at a 37-year-old man with an airsoft gun at the void deck of Block 889A, Tampines Street 81 on 29 June. He has been remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for a medical examination.

The 37-year-old victim sustained injuries to his ear and forehead. The Singapore Police Force received a call for assistance after 7.30pm on 29 June, and Poh was arrested the same day following investigations aided by police cameras and closed-circuit television footage.
Upon searching Poh's unit, officers uncovered a substantial cache of weapons and prohibited items. A police spokesperson said the seized items included several airsoft guns and ammunition, a knuckle duster, a suspected stun device, and an assortment of airsoft gun parts.
An airsoft gun is a firearm replica that shoots small plastic pellets.
Poh has been ordered to be remanded at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) for a medical examination. His case will be mentioned again on 15 July 2026.
Poh faces a charge of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means under Section 324 of the Penal Code 1871. If convicted, he can be jailed for up to seven years, fined, caned, or receive any combination of such punishments. He potentially faces additional charges under the Guns, Explosives and Weapons Control Act 2021.
The police said it has zero tolerance towards acts of violence in the community and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law.
