Woman allegedly causes disturbance at KLIA, demands Malaysia, Singapore and Japan "surrender to China"

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: A woman, allegedly a Chinese national, reportedly caused a disturbance at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 on 18 August after shouting threats and making demands near the boarding gates.
According to a Reddit post by a user identified as “ikkkky9029”, the woman was speaking in Chinese while passengers were queuing to enter their gates.
The post claimed she demanded Malaysia, Singapore and Japan “surrender to China” and allegedly warned that “everyone dies together” if she died in Malaysia.
The Reddit user said the woman was initially livestreaming on TikTok using her mobile phone.
A man who appeared to know the woman allegedly took the phone from her and attempted to pull her away from the area.
However, according to the account, the woman continued shouting even after her phone had been taken.
The Reddit user also claimed that the woman began a countdown during the disturbance, although the post did not specify what the countdown referred to.
The passenger said it took airport officials about 15 minutes to remove the woman from the area.
The user said they were already inside the boarding gate and therefore could not confirm where the woman was taken.
The post added that the airport subsequently became quiet, leading the user to assume that officials had removed the woman from the area.
The account did not provide details of any arrest, detention or charges, and no official response was included in the material available.
