Banting District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd. Akmalrizal Radzi confirmed the incident, stating that the victim is in stable condition.
“Yes, the incident happened. I will issue an initial statement for confirmation. The victim is stable,” he told reporters briefly.
Suspect detained, victim receiving treatment
According to a statement by the Selangor State Education Department (Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Selangor, JPN Selangor), the injured student is currently receiving treatment at hospital.
The department also confirmed that the suspect has been arrested by police.
JPN Selangor said it is providing full cooperation to authorities as investigations continue.
Counselling support activated in school
JPN Selangor stated that counselling teams and school guidance and counselling teachers have been deployed to the school.
The support teams are providing psychosocial assistance to students, teachers, and other school staff affected by the incident.
The department said priority is being given to the welfare of the injured student and support for the family.
Authorities urge public caution
Education authorities have also urged the public not to speculate or spread unverified information about the case, saying it could interfere with ongoing investigations.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
