MALAYSIA: In Penang, Malaysia, a video surfaced on 5 February, capturing a couple engaged in a reckless act while riding a motorcycle on Penang Bridge.

The footage, uploaded by a Facebook user who was also a victim of the couple’s aggressive behavior, revealed the duo attempting to kick and hit passing riders.

Expressing his dismay in the caption, the user highlighted the dangerous nature of the couple’s actions, recounting how he endured the impact when they targeted him while overtaking their motorcycle.

Even though he had sand thrown in his face, he refrained from retaliating immediately.

He reported that the woman responsible for the act had a bag filled with sand on her lap.

The video, shot from behind by the user, documented the couple persistently trying to kick and hit other motorcyclists using a rope.

This prompted the user to record the ongoing incidents, capturing the couple’s repeated attempts to endanger fellow riders on the bridge.

After watching the video, netizens expressed concerns, urging the user to file a police report.

Speculation arose about the couple possibly having disabilities (OKU), suggesting why no one intervened.

Some even questioned if the couple was not Malaysian.

Despite these discussions, many voiced frustration over the couple’s actions endangering fellow riders.

At approximately 12.03 pm on 6 February, the user who posted the video announced on Facebook that he had filed a police report against the couple.

Shortly after authorities received a report, it was revealed that the Malaysian authorities had apprehended the couple.

As per a report by Free Malaysia Today, Seberang Perai Tengah police chief Helmi Aris stated that a man in his 50s and a woman in her 30s were apprehended.

Helmi mentioned that the couple will undergo investigation for charges of criminal intimidation and reckless driving.

Additionally, authorities disclosed that the couple had three previous criminal records in 2021 and 2023.
