Man found deceased at Changi Creek, investigation underway
A tragic suspected drowning at Changi Creek in Singapore was reported on Monday (31 Jul) afternoon.
The Singapore Police Force is conducting investigations into the incident to determine the cause of the man’s death.
SINGAPORE: On Monday (31 Jul) afternoon, a suspected drowning incident was reported at Changi Creek in Singapore.
The Singapore police received the alert regarding the suspected drowning at approximately 1.40 pm, as reported by The Straits Times, a local media outlet.
Subsequently, the body was found and recovered from the water.
Unfortunately, despite efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic from the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) stated that they believe the man drowned, and based on preliminary investigations, they do not suspect foul play.
The ST reported that a witness had observed a body floating in the water around 1.35 pm. Later, a police boat arrived at the scene, confirming the witness’s account.
Currently, police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
